During a CryptoLaw TV live stream, J.W. Verret, a former SEC Investor Advisory Committee member and current associate law professor at George Mason University, shared his thoughts on the Ripple lawsuit. According to a tweet by XRP supporter @sentosumosaba, Verret stated that “The SEC underestimated the ‘fight’ inside of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse.

During a recent interview on March 14, John Deaton and J.W. Verret discussed the likelihood of the Ripple lawsuit potentially reaching the Supreme Court. In a previous statement, Deaton had expressed his confidence in Ripple winning the case at the Supreme Court level. Deaton cited Ripple’s general counsel, Stuart Alderoty, who had commented on the SEC’s recent track record in the Supreme Court, having lost four out of their last five cases.

John Deaton, the founder of CryptoLaw that represents XRP holders in a lawsuit against Ripple, has stated that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) underestimated the strength of the fight from XRP holders. In a recent tweet, Deaton said that “The SEC underestimated the unity and determination of the XRP community.”

He added that the community will not stop until justice is served and that they are willing to fight for their rights. Deaton has been leading the lawsuit against Ripple on behalf of XRP holders who claim that the SEC’s classification of XRP as a security is incorrect. The lawsuit is ongoing, with Ripple denying any wrongdoing
