In a new post on the company blog, Ripple says Monica Long, the firm’s senior vice president and general manager, will be promoted to president. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated:

“Even in the current challenging crypto environment, Monica has helped guide Ripple to a very unique place of growth and financial strength. She’s been an instrumental adviser to me over the years and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to partner with her even more closely as she embarks on her role as President.”

Long, who started at Ripple in 2013 when the company had just ten employees, was promoted to the general manager position in 2020 and says she’s eager to kick things off as the company’s new president. But, Monica Long started to work with Chris Larsen (Co-founder & Executive Chairman) even before working in Ripple Labs.

As stated by Larsen in a Tweet “I’ve had the pleasure of working with @MonicaLongSF at 3 different companies now, and nearly from day 1 at Ripple. So much of what the company has achieved is due to her leadership. Congratulations!”

Monica Long, in a Tweet, has in fact declared in this regard: “Over half my professional career has been in crypto – and more importantly, at @Ripple. I’m incredibly honored and ready to hit the ground running as President. Thank you @bgarlinghouse and @chrislarsensf for the opportunity of a lifetime!
